Lynx History

From The President:

Lynx Transport was founded in Hastings in 1980 and incorporated in 1981. I started the business as a computer delivery service. At first it was a one-man show doing storage and delivery of computers and peripherials primarily in New York City, and surrounding counties.

As the company grew over the years, I started doing commercial and residential moves. I bought more vehicles and hired competent experienced men to help expand. I have personally been on thousands of moves over the years. Every member of my immediate family has been involved in Lynx Transport Company in one capacity or another.

Dennis (my son) came on computer deliveries with me when he was seven years old. Through high school and college, he went on moves on weekends and summers. He is now my operations manager.We have employees who have been here for 10+ years. We treat our employees like family. They stay with us for a long time - that is good for our customers and our business. Approximately half of our employees have college degrees.

We believe that the history of our business is important. It was the building block of what we are today. We have experienced many different and complex moving situations in the past, and we use our experiences to make your move a smooth and successful one.
