The best way to move furniture is with the drawers emptied. Although it’s an unpopular response to customers - It’s actually better for the furniture and my employees if the drawers are empty. Exceptions are small chest of drawers with no thin decorative legs, hope chests or two-drawer filing cabinets.
Try to arrange with your move to NOT be on closing day. We want to start first thing in the morning and drop off the same day without interruptions. Having closings and moving on the same day should be avoided. That's a ton of stress!
We accept cash or check at the end of the job. No credit.
Although we try to give as accurate an estimate as possible, some go over and some go under. Not being properly packed on move day is the number one reason for the move to exceed the estimate.
We specialize in lower Westchester County, NY local moves within a 50 mile radius, but will sometimes go further. We do not do long distance moving (Florida, California, etc.). We specialize in residential moves, but we also do commercial moves.
It depends on several factors such as distance from pickup to drop off, amount of furniture, type of furniture to be moved, and conditions of both the pickup and drop off (stairs, carry distance, elevator, etc). Call for a free estimate and let an experienced estimator give you and honest and accurate moving and/or packing estimate.
Unfortunately, there are a few bad eggs out there, but most licensed movers run reputable businesses. The best advice I can give is to ask local real estate agents, neighbors, and friends about Lynx Transport Company (Some know us as 478-PETE).
